This shot inspires me to investigate the picture controls of my Nikon D40x even more. This sunlight backlit photo was taken on a tripod with a low ISO, high aperature and slow shutter speed. Hi D-lighting was applied afterwards. I usually over-expose my shots by .7 of a stop. In general, the D40x seems to underexpose shots.
As far as picture controls go, I’d like to apply more sharpness. The contrast is ok. The added sharpness would be a good artistic touch.
Have been shooting with a circular polarizing filter. Now shooting with a nuetral density filter.
