We have tickets now for our trip to Peru. I’m not squirming about how to pay for them and the other expenses. I’m loosing sleep over going there without any camera. My D40x would have been just fine; not my first choice but certainly adequate: lightweight, and familiar. Damn the S.O.B.(s) who stole from us. Damn them to hell along with everyone else who took a part in it.

The D300s I’m still hoping to get is listed on Amazon.com for around $2000. That’s a hefty little habit. But I know it would be with me for the rest of my life. I’m not a professional and don’t go out buying equipment every year.
I still think learning how to make frames for my best pictures and trying to sell them locally would be fun. Not just the money. Knowing that someone found enough beauty in my work to actually put it in their home to enjoy.
