Thursday, November 11th, Veteran’s Day, for some, my Nikon D40x, 18-135mm lens, UV filter, SB-400 flash, cleaning pen, and carrying case were stolen from my trunk while I was hiking with a friend at Wunderlich County Park near the town of Woodside, California.
May God’s love fall upon the soul who stole my things. Let that the holy spirit of God fall upon him and weigh upon him until like someone who fell into the depths of the rubble on 9/11, he clenches his chest for want of air and cries out for mercy.
Lately, I’ve been shopping for another camera. I think the D90 will probably be the camera I go with. It’s not too complicated nor is it the latest model. I’m thinking very seriously about the kit Costco is offering: a D90 with 18-55 and 70-300 vr lenses. Both lenses have lens markings on them - something I really disliked about my 18-135mm.
Of course, I’d love to jump straight into a D700 with a 28-300mm vr ii lens. But I don’t have $3500 to spend like that just right now.
It’s nice to dream.
Enjoy the camera, creep. Or enjoy the cheap high you get from the money the pawn shop gave you for it. Either way, my camera is gone and you’re going straight to hell.
